Extremely rare card type featuring Phillies and Athletics players distributed in the Philadelphia area by the aforementioned shoe company. Each unnumbered card measures 3" x 4" and includes player name and position information with a brief ad on the obverse along with a blank back. Seventeen cards are curently known though it is possible that more exist. The set is very rare and desirable among type collectors. This example of Phillies pitcher Claude Passeau has been graded POOR 10 by SGC due to wear consistent with the grade but frankly with cards this rare grade is hardly relevant. A very difficult and desirable card the only graded example of this particular subject available with only 12 cards rom the set graded in total between SGC and PSA.
