Trio of letters written and mailed in 1952 and 1953 by Ted Williams to Norma Williamson of Chicago, a mistress (Williams married his first wife Doris Soule in 1948, they divorced in 1954). These are love letters, spicy in places, written while Williams was stationed in Korea on military duty. These letters, and several others, came to auction some years ago with quite a bit of fanfare; they have been tucked away in a private collection since. These letters include the original mailing envelopes. In excellent condition save for the folds and general markings that come with mailing. LOA from PSA/DNA. Please note that our printed catalog includes a photo of an envelope addressed to Miss Evelyn Turner; that is not included with this lot.
