Lot Description  

January 25, 1949, letter from Branch Rickey, president of the Brooklyn Dodgers, to outfielder George Shuba. The letter accompanied Shuba's contract for the 1949 season, which called for a salary of $5,000. The letter includes additional information about that year's Spring Training. Rickey signed the letter boldly in dark blue ballpoint.EX condition with some age-related wrinkling and heavy folds from storage and mailing. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
