Issued by Topps in 1951 and packaged along with the 1951 Red Back and Blue Back bags the 11 cards in the Connie Mack All-Stars set have become extremely valuable and highly sought-after today. Because the cards were die cut and intended to be separated from their perforations and stood upright using the cards as they were intended was a detriment to their condition. Still due to the expense of the cards even off-condition examples are widely collected today.Presented is the set"s #1 card Grover Cleveland Alexander. While the card looks exceptional it grades POOR due to a gap of missing paper between Alexander"s legs as well as for having been separated in places from its perforations. Worn corners and borders also help reduce the card"s grade. Despite this this card is still difficult to obtain in any condition one we are proud to offer in our auction.
