I have one to sell!
The key card from a 20-card set of postcards issued in 1906 to commemorate the 1905 American League champion Philadelphia Athletics. Very rare today the cards each feature a black and white photo of the subject in street clothes surrounded by an ornate border and beautifully-lettered card graphics. Very few of these cards are known to exist and it had been thought in the past that the issue was never actually distributed since all the known examples included handwritten notations identifying the player position. This example clearly does not nor do the other examples in the run of cards from this issue we will be featuring in our Spring and Summer auctions. Postally unused it has been graded PR 1 by PSA due to overall wear including tack holes at the top and bottom of the card. The hole at the top has torn away a small bit of paper leaving a "notch" at the top edge and a second smaller tack hole appears just underneath the larger one. Still with a card as rare as this none of that matters as just four examples have been graded. This is an extraordinarily rare card one that has not been made available for public sale outside the context of a large group of cards from the issue.
