The 1929 World Series pitted the A.L. Champion Philadelphia Athletics (A’s) against the N.L. Champion Chicago Cubs. In what turned out to be a five-game series, the A’s, led by owner/manager Connie Mack, prevailed after outscoring the Cubs 26-17 behind the potent bats of Jimmy Dykes (.421), Mickey Cochrane (.400), Bing Miller (.368) and Jimmie Foxx (.350). Offered here is a ticket stub to Game 4 of the ‘29 World Series, which was played at Philadelphia’s Shibe Park. In that contest, the A’s won, 10-8, and scored all 10 of their runs in the seventh inning. The original ticket stub was for Seat 17/Row 22/Section G in the East Side Upper Pavilion and has weathered with age, shows frayed edges and marks. The reverse shows writing in black ink and recaps the pivotal seventh inning ("10 Runs - 7th Inning"). It received a grade of PSA Good 2(MK). The cost of the original ticket: $5.50.
