Here is a weathered 1919 sketch book featuring Chicago’s two MLB teams, the Cubs and White Sox. It’s entitled “Sketch Book and Complete Records of Our Cubs and White Sox” and includes player bios of both teams’ rosters with statistical info complete through the end of the 1918 season. Even players from the infamous “Black Sox” scandal of 1919 in which they helped throw that year’s World Series to the Cincinnati Reds (five games to three) are included. The moderately toned book measures 5.5" high by 7.25" wide and shows considerable wear on the top right corner of the cover where the outstretched left arm of the bear (Cubs) has worn away over time. The front cover has separated. The original price: 10 cents.
