Tremendous midgrade 1957 Topps football set.  Assembled carefully over a period of years by a dedicated collector, this set is largely ungraded, consisting of clean cards that have been lightly but carefully handled over the years.  The primary condition flaws relate to centering, gentle corner wear, and very light soiling, the result being an extremely consistent, beautiful set.  Three of the cards have been graded by SGC: #119 Starr (SGC VG 3), #138 Unitas (SGC VG/EX 4), and #151 Hornung (SGC VG/EX 4).  The remaining keys grade as follows: #5 Marchetti (G), #6 Nomellini (VG/EX), #11 Brown (VG), #14 Summerall (VG), #20 Creekmur (VG), #22 Van Brocklin (VG), #26 Matson (G), #28 Groza (VG), #30 Tittle (VG), #31 Blanda (VG), #35 Tunnell (VG), #46 Hirsch (VG), #49 Badnarik (VG), #656 Donovan (EX), #88 Gifford (F), #94 Berry (G), #95 McElhenny (VG), #129 Perry (VG).  A complete condition breakdown would be 7% EX, 24% VG-EX, 57% VG, 9% GOOD, and 3% F-P.  The important note here is that despite the technical grade, this is a clean and consistent set, an extremely attractive midgrade specimen.  154 cards total.
