Joe Tipton was a backup catcher for four AL teams in a 7 year career, winning a ring with the 1948 Indians in his rookie season. He then sank to the minors then sank even further when he was found to have consorted with gamblers and earned himself a lifetime ban from the minor leagues. The 1952 Topps card here seems themed in blue, with rounded corners. Tipton has signed nicely in blue ballpoint, in a PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC holder.
