Al Widmar had a fairly short big league pitching career but spent a lifetime in baseball. He conducted a holdout for all-time after the 1949 season while a member of the Browns (a story too long to recount here but well worth looking up) and had a long coaching career once he hung up his spikes. Some rounded corners and chipping are seen on the ungraded 1952 Topps card seen here, with a nicely rendered image remaining. Inscribed "Good Luck Al" and well-signed in blue ballpoint, PSA/DNA has given an AUTHENTIC designation.
