Outfielder Matty McIntyre, popular with T206 collectors for his pink background and exceptional hairdo, has been captured here by photographer Charles Conlon in full swing at Hilltop Park. This image was snapped during the final season of McIntyre's career, in 1912 while with the White Sox. Mcintyre joined the Sox in 1911 after his stint with Detroit from 1904-1910 where he helped lead the Tigers to a World Series in 1908, ultimately losing out to the Chicago Cubs in 5 games. This is an exceptional 8" x 10" Conlon photo both in quality and clarity. Photo surface is clean with small creases present at top right and left. Verso exhibits a bit of toning to the edges along with Conlon's personal stamping and handwritten identification of Matty McIntyre. Photo is fresh to the hobby and originates from the archives of Photo File, Inc. where it has been stored for several decades until this offering. Guaranteed Type 1.
