Exceptional collection of memorabilia related to the Splendid Splinter accumulated by a dedicated collector over an extended period of time. Collection includes the following: 1) Ted Williams Books (6): Five hardcover and one paperback book one signed representing a variety of Williams-related titles published over the years. Includes Ted Williams (1949 Most Valuable Player series by Arthur Sampson some writing on the flyleaf and overall wear pariticularly on the dust jacket) Ted Williams - Hitting Unlimited (1950 thin hardcover book with significant wear to the spine and overall soiling) The Ted Williams Story (1954 Hardcover book without dust jacket writing on flyleaf otherwise strong) The Boston Red Sox of 1955 (1956 hardcover book with dust jacket LOA as being part of the Bill Mastro Collection VG condition with wear to the dust jacket) The Splendid Splinter (1960 hardcover book with dust jacket signed on the front page by Williams but not authenticated. VG/EX condition with wear to the dust jacket). 2) Sports Oddities Notebook:Ted Williams adonrs the cover of this note pad well-worn with some writing and drawing on inside pages along with overall toning. Tears and creases to the cover along with some writing. 3) Wilson Official Baseball Scorebook: Coil-bound scorebook with some writing on the interior page but unused. Ted Williams ad appears on the inside back cover with some water staining on the inside front cover. Well-worn despite the lack of use. 4) Payne Park 1953 Spring Training Scorecard: Official unscored scorecard dedicated to Williams (who appears on the cover) who had left the team for the US armed forces. 5) Diamond Dust Punchboard Game: Attractive and colorful unused punchboard game includes a small image of Williams along with many of his contemporaries including Hall of Famers Feller Appling Kiner DiMaggio Reese Ashburn Newhouser and Musial. 6) Ted Williams Magic Scorecard: Child's erasable art pad which consisted of clear cellophane surface laid over a waxy background onto which the child would write with a wooden stylus. They could then "erase" their writing by lifting the cellophane off the background. Appears strong but the two scorepads on the inside have long stopped functioning their waxy material and cellophane browning with age. 7) Red Sox Team Newsletters: 12 different team newsletters dating from 1940 through 1947. VG condition on average. 8) Th' Dugout Placemat Pair: Pair of placemats from the DUgout restaurant in Manchester New Hampshire one placemat features an illustration of Williams and (ostensibly) the owners the other features a smaller version
