I have one to sell!
Attractive trio of Ted Williams-related display pieces. Collection includes: 1) Oversized Photo Print: Classic photo of Williams likely a vintage print measuring 18" x 23". VG/EX condition with some wrinkling and wear at the edges. 2) 1947 Picturegram: Matted and framed to a finished size of 22" x 16" photo and news clip describing the $75 000 contract signed by Williams for the 1947 season. Pictures Williams with two fellow Hall of Famers Eddie Collins (then Red Sox GM) and Joe Cronin (then Red Sox manager). EX appearance though the frame prevents a thorough examination of the edges corners and reverse. 3) 1951 S. C. Johnson Sportscar Promotion: Actually two pieces related to the same promotion the front of the piece features the image of Williams endorsing a contest to win a free trip to the World Series. The colorful advertising piece is a retail point-of-purchase advertising the contest which was run by the S.C. Johnson company. The display presents well but is well-worn with significant creasing and surface abrasions notably at the edges and the folds (the piece was once folded in quarters). Toward the center there is a hole at the creases. The frame which measures approximately 19" x 23 1/2" is actually a double-sided glass frame. The reverse contains a large newsprint ad featuring the same contest along with an entry form where the entrant is asked to provide their name and local retailer along with a creative name for Ted Williams' new custom sports car (which is featured in the ad). The newsprint ad has been torn away from its publication so the right edge is uneven with some paper loss at the tear. Four pieces total in three frames.
