Attractive 18 1/2" x 13 1/2" cardboard advertising display featuring New York Giants announcer Russ Hodges sharing a beer with "Father Knickerbocker " a mascot for Jacob Ruppert's Knickerbocker Beer. Though Ruppert died in 1939 and the Knickerbocker brand sold to Rheingold but their association with baseball continued until the dissolution of the brand in 1965. The sign is colorful and attractive the Giants logo and baseball theme providing a summertime baseball flavor to the piece. Heavy wear along the top edge is evident as is some visible water staining at the top left also visible on the reverse. Despite being F-G condition a sturdy and colorful advertising sign.
