Clean ticket stub for Game 3 of the 1943 World Series at Yankee Stadium a wartime series between the Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals. The 1943 Series would be the final Series victory for Hall of Fame manager Joe McCarthy and interestingly was the first World Series to have a highlight film created for troops fighting in World War II. The Yankees would win the series though key members of both teams were serving in the military. For this game the Yankees defeated St. Louis 6-2 Hank Borowy outdieling Al Brazle for the win with Yankees third baseman Billy Johnson driving in three runs. The stub is in VG condition with some edge wear including irregular tears at the perforations and some light paper loss along the perforation on the reverse.
