I have one to sell!
Historically-significant ticket stub from the October 1 1944 game between the St. Louis Browns and New York Yankees. On that date the last game of the season the Browns went into Sportsman's Park tied with the Detroit Tigers for first place. After falling behind 2-0 the Browns would tie the game in the 4th inning on a Chet Laabs home run and score two more the following inning - also on a Laabs home run. Vern Stevens would contribute a homer of his own for an 8th inning insurance run to secure a 5-2 Browns win. The Tigers would lose their own game to the Washington Senators 4-1. The win marked the only pennant in the history of the Browns. Ultimately they would lose the World Series in six games to the crosstown Cardinals. The stub appears in strong condition with an irregular tear at the perforation and some very light wrinkling that does not interfere with the eye appeal of the piece. For a Browns collector this is a "holy grail" type of piece - the only ticket stub from the club's single pennant-winning game.
