Lot Description  

Outstanding Polo Grounds ticket to Game 5 of the 1937 World Series the deciding game between the Yankees and Giants. Behind the pitching of Hall of Famer Lefty Gomez the Yankees would win the game - and the Series - home runs by Myril Hoag and Joe DiMaggio providing the Yankee offense. The stub presents incredibly well a tremendous document of the Yankees' sixth World Championship and the second in what would be a strong of four consecutive.
