<p>Outstanding example from the scarce and highly desirable M101-6 Felix Mendelsohn issue picturing Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson.  One of the keys to the issue the cards were offered in advertisements in <em>The Sporting News</em> for the price of $5 for 100 pictures.  Since the set was issued over a three-year period more than 100 different subjects are known and more may yet be discovered.</p> <p>This example has been graded AUTHENTIC by PSA due to a trim at the top and bottom edges.  Despite the trim the card presents far better than a collector-grade example; the removal of the top and bottom edges does not detract from the quality of the image which is sharp and relatively clean.  Instead the card simply presents as a sharp midgrade specimen with a slightly uneven cut at the top as the trim has removed nothing of substance from the image reducing the height of the card by a little more than a quarter inch as the card measures 4 3/8" x 5 13/16".  Regardless a quality image of one of the most important players of his era.</p>
