Beautiful antique bat featuring all the attributes collectors seek in a ring bat. Measuring just shy of 35" in length with a thick tapered handle small knob and painted black ring at the end of the barrel. The brand name "Standard" appears in the centerbrand one of the top bat manufacturers of the era. The branding is stenciled into the wood rather than stamped. Exactly the type of bat seen on late 1880s tobacco cards. Bat exhibits no chips cracks or restoration of any kind. Seldom-seen manufacturer an outstanding example.
