Outstanding pair of Heubach statues each approximately 9 1/2" in height. Heubach figurines manufactured in Germany between 1843 and 1925 are highly desirable among modern antique collectors. The baseball statues which are found a vartiety of heights between 7" and 14" are also highly coveted among baseball collectors. These examples are interesting in that they are painted differently than most which depict the pitcher and batter wearing pinstriped shirts and pillbox hats while these are painted in solid colors. As is typically the case the wooden bat is not original to the piece which are known to break. The solid color uniforms in these examples lead us to believe they were likely produced earlier than the pinstriped examples typically seen. In excellent condition with little noticeable wear.
