Unveiling smart new uniforms for the 1906 season the Lancaster Maroons of the Tri-State League quickly became known as the "Red Roses." Featuring a multitude of players who would eventually make the majors the roster reads like a T206 collector's dream: Cy Barger Bil Chappelle Rube Dessau Patsy Dougherty Tom Downey Bull Durham Ed Lennox and Chief Meyers all were members of the 1906 ballclub that were later immortalized in the T206 issue. This example graded FAIR 20 by SGC exhibits considerable wear at the corners and surface with some minor creasing. Still the image of the team is strong and clear. The reverse while not postally used has been written upon as well - however the card remains an excellent pre-T206 collectible featuring one of the Tri-State League's most productive teams in terms of overall number of major leaguers.
