Robert Emmerke pitched in parts of three seasons with a number of minor league teams never mounting a strong enough record to break into the majors. As a member of the Des Moines Prohibitionists of the Western Association Emmerke found his way onto five different N172 cards including this one card #145-1. Depicting Emmerke posing with a ring-style bat the card has been graded VG-EX 4 by PSA due primarily to wear at the surface and edges including a pronounced chip at the top border.
