Football legend and coach Pop Warner appears here in a "leatherhead" helmet, part of the limited protection afforded to prewar football players. He led college teams for almost a half-century, overseeing many of the sport's innovations, winning several titles, and lending his name to many youth football programs today. This Wheaties "fancy frames" panel of the Hall of Famer grades PSA AUTH for its tight trimming around the central image, with some residue on the reverse. Regardless of grade, it's the only example on PSA's population report, making it a desirable card for football fans, Hall of Fame collectors, and leatherheads everywhere!
