Grouping of five panels from the Wheaties "Fancy Frames" series of 1935. Similar in appearance to the All-Americans of 1934 panels, the "Fancy Frames" are defined by their, um, fancy frames, into which a blue-tinted player photo sets against a deep orange background. Two of the panels - Chris Cagle and Howard Jones - have retained the Wheaties logo and long-running positioning statement "The Breakfast of Champions" underneath the frame. The remaining three, of Jack Armstrong, Benny Friedman, and Harry Kipke, have all been cut square to the frame, somewhat erratically. Various degrees of wear are evident, primarily at the edges and corners, with some staining on the reverse. The Howard Jones panel exhibits some soiling and discoloration on the front.
