Love of the Game offers many scarce regional sets, often with unique player photos and other local touches, in this auction. The 1952 Num Num set profiled that year's Cleveland team as a mail-in bonus for kids willing to snack (a lot) and seek out a signed baseball. Cards with tabs show the player name and set number on front, which some collectors left intact rather than enter its contest.

The PSA VG-EX 4 grade for Dale Mitchell shows great centering, perfect image, and clean borders. Touched corners appear to be its key issue and presents as a much stronger grade. Scarcity proves important when collecting tabbed Num Num cards, as the population report shows 17 graded for #15. Note how this card's biography writer breezed past Dale's many on-field skills to cover his domestic life and childhood accidents! It must've been an interesting day for that Num Num writer.
