The 1952 Num Num set profiled that year's Cleveland team as a mail-in bonus for kids willing to snack (a lot) and seek out a signed baseball by sending in a full set of tabs. Some collectors left them intact rather than enter its contest and Love of the Game is proud to offer several of those graded singles in this auction.

The PSA VG+ 3.5 grade for Toothpick Sam Jones shows great centering, solid image, and clean borders. Slightly rounded corners appear to be its one issue, so Sam himself presents stronger than VG+. Scarcity proves important when collecting tabbed Num Num cards, as the population report shows 13 graded for #19. The bio itself does well to explain how Toothpick Sam earned his nickname!
