Love of the Game is excited when groups of tough-to-find regional sets, often with unique player photos and other local touches, come to our auction. Cleveland players of 1952 received this treatment when Num Num foods created a mail-in bonus for kids willing to snack (a lot) and send in their tabs for a signed baseball. (Cards with tabs show the player name and set number on front, so thankfully some collectors left them intact.)
The PSA EX 5 grade for Dick Rozek recognizes its solid centering, spotless image, and clean borders. Touched corners appear to be its only condition note, so this presents as a stronger grade. Scarcity proves important when pursuing tabbed Num Num cards, as the population report shows all of 19 graded and just seven higher!
