Elaborate gold-plated tie clip celebrating the Brooklyn Dodgers' 1953 National League pennant. While the design flourishes flanking the stylized baseball appear to read "SOS," the Dodgers did not need saving in the 1953 season, as the team won 105 games, finishing 13 games ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Braves. Unfortunately, that would be the end of the road for Brooklyn in 1953, as the Yankees would defeat them in six games for the World Championship.

The tie clip measures 2 1/2" in length by about an inch high, with "National League Champs" and "19 - Dodgers - 53" engraved on the front. Well-preserved, the clip remains in excellent condition. Consigned from the estate of former Dodgers outfielder George Shuba, who hit a pinch home run in the 1953 World Series.
