Matted and framed display featuring a panoramic image of the 1912 American League Champion Boston Red Sox. Rare and highly sought after print on paper stock shows the team aligned in front of their new ballpark - Fenway Park - with manager Jake Stahl, president Jimmy McAleer, and captain Heinie Wagner superimposed above. Standouts Tris Speaker, Harry Hooper, Eddie Cicotte, Smoky Joe Wood, and others are easily identifiable, with the names of all players added in print below their likenesses. Text crediting the Glines Panoramic Photo Co. of Boston, MA appears in the lower-left corner of the border, with "Boston - American League Champions - 1912" along the bottom edge at the center. A few areas of staining and a few scuffs to the surface but otherwise an appealing, handsome display well suited for hanging. Visible area of the print measures approx. 8.5" x 25.5" with finished framed dimensions of 13.5" x 30". Unfortunately, we cannot speak to the condition of any areas hidden behind the cream-colored matting. Please note this is an original 1912 large-format print and not a later reproduction known to exist within the hobby. Boston would go on to best the New York Giants in the 1912 World Series over seven games, their first of four World Series championships during the 1910's.
