1955 composite photo featuring one of the single most iconic plays in World Series history. Fresh to the hobby example shows six consecutive images captured as Jackie Robinson stole home against the New York Yankees in Game 1 of the 1955 World Series at Yankee Stadium. 70 years later, this spectacular play stands as the last straight steal of home to occur during World Series competition. Photo has been created by laying down six existing photos and photographing them together to create a copy negative. Thus, this example has earned a Type III designation from PSA/DNA due to being a second generation photograph developed within the approximate two year window from when the image was shot. In this case, the offered photo was in-fact developed the very day of this historic event, as evidenced by the detailed paper caption on verso dated to 9/25/1955. An impressively clean photo of Jackie's legendary steal of home, being offered here for the very first time. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type III photo by PSA/DNA.
