Offered from a set known for its premiere quality, this PSA MINT 9 is among the peak 1960 Topps examples available in this auction. Its bright color, clean edges, and excellent overall presentation reflects this grade and it stands near the top of the population report. There are just 11 at that level, with none higher!
Cleveland rookie Mike Lee appears on a card written with great promise, similar to a number of other 1950s Topps cards for "bonus babies" who franchises expected great things from. 19 year old Mike pitched well enough in seven games of work that year, yet failed to earn a longer look thereafter. He reappeared in the bigs for the 1963 Angels, this time without garnering a second card.
