5" x 7" Type I photo depicting nine members of the 1931 St. Louis Cardinals. Future Hall of Famer's Frankie Frisch (top row second from the left, and Jim Bottomley, bottom row second from the right) are present in the image along with their teammates and two individuals in street clothes. Several pinholes and creases are visible to the extreme corners of the sepia toned photo, with handwritten notations applied in pencil to verso in pencil. Affectionately known as the Gashouse Gang, manager Gabby Street's Cardinals would best the Philadelphia Athletics over seven games in the 1931 fall classic. Frankie Frisch then led those same Cardinals to another World Series title in 1934 after transitioning to a player/manager role. Guaranteed to return as a Type I photo if submitted to PSA/DNA for authentication.
