Attractive Type I photo featuring four outfielders from the 1931 Gashouse Gang Cardinals. Future Hall of Famer, Chick Hafey stands first from the left beside George Watkins, Pepper Martin, and Wally Roettger respectively. 8" x 10" photograph is a fabulous depiction of the four men in their soiled St. Louis Cardinals uniforms of the 1930's, showing wear to the corners with the extreme lower-left corner chipped away. An unobtrusive 1" tear is present to the lower-right corner that is more apparent on verso. Verso also includes credit stamping from the Associated Press along with remnants of a paper caption that was once affixed. Authenticated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA and includes their full LOA.
