Measuring 6" x 8", the presented Type I photograph features future Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander during 1928, his third season with the St. Louis Cardinals. Alexander would help his Cardinals secure their second pennant in the past three seasons, besting the New York Yankees over seven games in the 1926 World Series before those same Yankees swept them in the 1928 iteration of the Fall Classic. Fresh to the hobby photo remains clean and bright, with acceptably sharp corners and no obvious condition-related issues to report. Verso includes credit stamping from the Associated Press, with a dated paper caption affixed along the top edge correctly predicting that Alexander "...may get another opportunity to play in a World Series." Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
