Heinie Groh of the New York Giants bats in this rare Type 1 photo from baseball's 1924 World Tour. Among other stops organized by Charles Comiskey, the tour would take his Chicago White Sox and John McGraw's Giants to Goodison Park in Liverpool, England (home of Premier League soccer's Everton F.C.) where this moment was documented by a press photographer on October 19. Some typical handling wear is present in the form of gently rounded corners and a few light creases, with tape residue remaining at the top edge of verso. Verso includes an affixed paper caption describing the exhibition contest and large credit stamping from the London News Agency has been added at the top. Guaranteed to return as a Type 1 photo if submitted to PSA/DNA for authentication.
