Handsome, "lunchbox style" tin, once housing Mayo's cut plug smoking and chewing tobacco.  The tin container measures 8" x 5" x 4" and is hinged at the reverse, and can be secured in the closed position by a small tin clasp at the front.  A tin handle is affixed to the top, enabling the piece to be hand-carried, like a lunchbox.  Colorful blue and gold printing has worn slightly over time, and as is the case with many pieces of this kind, has become slightly misshapen, though not horribly so.  Colorful piece has developed some oxidation and wear over the years, creating a nice, dark patina.
