Attractive pair of original news service photos from Charles Martin Conlon. Both images depict rookie first baseman, Babe Herman of the 1926 Brooklyn Robins as he posed for photographers at the Polo Grounds. A lifetime .324 hitter, Herman enjoyed 13 seasons in the big leagues with his prime years spent in Brooklyn from 1926-31. Conlon's credit stamping is visible on verso of both photos, with his handwritten identifier of Herman also present at center of the batting example. Portrait photo displays light wear/chipping to the corners, with modern labels and tape applied to verso in preparation for publication.
