Beautiful signed 1923-24 Exhibit card of Chicago centerfielder Johnny Mostil. Mostil accumulated a .301 batting average over a 10-year career with the White Sox leading the league in stolen bases in both 1925 and 26 when he finished second in the MVP voting. Chronic pain and possible mental illness caused a rapid decline in Mostil's career a 1927 suicide attempt limiting him to just 16 at bats that season. He recovered however and after his playing career ended he remained a scout in the White Sox organization for 20 years.
