Holsum Bread was an extremely sporadic issuer of sports cards and issued their first set in 1920, drawing from the pool of images used in the 1921 American Caramel sets. Hall-of-Famer Ray Schalk was included in their checklist and the SGC 1 presented here has some rounded corners, with some flaking seen but the central image remains intact, with some foxing evident.  The name of an old owner has been neatly written across the top, reverse border. SGC only has four Schalk's in their database, with none seen at PSA.
