1921 saw the inaugural issue of Baseball Exhibits, with 64 blank-backed cards, 32 from each league. Tris Speaker was one of the AL subjects and very much in the middle of a long string of Hall-of-Fame seasons where he absolutely raked, so his Manager's description here seem a bit surprising but he had just guided the Indians to the 1920 World Series championship so it makes sense on one level. SGC 5 in grade, a nice, clear image showing why he was called the Grey Eagle is holdered. Corner wear is seen and the card has some snow but look fantastic.
