An extremely odd issue containing 8 reprints of artwork from the 1953 Topps set. Hobby legend is that the cards were distributed as complete sets at a Topps banquet in 1973. Regardless of whether this is the case (it has never been verified) the cards are terribly scarce and typically sell for considerable multiples of mainstream cards from the same year. The cards are extremely attractive with very minimalist designs - the front contains the player image with his name in block letters and the reverse some very basic biographical information. Quite an attractive card of one of the most popular players of all time.
