Exceptional MINT 9 example of one of the key cards of the 1980s - that of speedster and Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson. As close to an iconic image as the early '80s can offer the classic Henderson batting stance is well-represented on this card. Henderson broke into baseball in 1979 with a .274 batting average and 33 stolen bases. The 1980 season however was incredible with Henderson hitting .303 with a .420 on base percentage that enabled him to steal 100 bases - the first of three times he would do so in his legendary career. An electrifying player a colorful character and one of the three or four most important baseball cards of the 1980s.
