I have one to sell!
Spectacular die-cut advertising sign featuring Hall of Famer Joe Cronin endorsing Granger pipe tobacco. The sign measures approximately 20 1/2" x 35" at its widest and tallest and is mounted against a green fabric background and framed to an imposing finished size of 26" x 43". The piece is colorful and clean though the frame prevents us from examining the reverse or understanding how it is mounted. While we do detect some small areas of inpainting at the blue edges of the banner that stretches across the piece reading "A pipe smoker's pipe tobacco." and a tear is evident in that same blue banner along the right edge leading us to believe it is likely repaired on the reverse the piece shows very little additional restoration. Some mounting holes are evident as is significant wear edge notches several tears (which may be stabliized or repaired on the reverse) and visible surface wear and scratches. Despite this the piece is an outstanding clean and colorful display gorgeous in its frame a difficult and desirable tobacco advertising piece the touch-up work certainly not unreasonable for a large-format die-cut piece such as this.
