Graphically appealing collection of five official scorecards for the Kansas City Athletics. Collection includes: 1) 1956 Scorecard: Unscored scorecard for a game against the Chicago White Sox. Hall of Famers listed in the rosters include Luis Aparicio Nelly Fox Larry Doby and Lou Boudreau (manager of Kansas City). VG/EX condition with light foxing and edge wear the center scorecard page has become detached from the bottom staple. 2) 1962 Scorecard: July 24 game against the Cleveland Indians a 5-4 Indians victory though Kansas City made it an exciting game by loading the bases in the bottom of the ninth and scoring two runs Jose Tartabull flying out off reliever Gary Bell to end the game with the bases still loaded. VG/EX appearance with some slight wear; the game carefully scored in ink. 3) 1962 Scorecard: July 25 game against Cleveland a 5-4 Athletics victory. Virtually the reverse of the previous night's game this time Cleveland making a game of it by scoring two in the top of the ninth stranding a runner at second to end the game. EX condition carefully scored in pencil on the interior. 4) 1964 Scorecard: Unscored game against the Minnesota Twins. Hall of Famers Harmon Killebrew and Luke Appling are noted in the rosters. EX/MT condition very light toning. 5) 1966 Scorecard: Unscored game against the Detroit Tigers. Hall of Famers Al Kaline and Luke Appling are noted in the rosters. EX condition with stray pencil markings on the scorecard page pleasing cover graphics. Five scorecards total.
