"Subway Series" full ticket for Game 3 of the 1944 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Browns at Sportsman's Park. The only AL pennant ever won by the Browns the overall talent pool of ballplayers depleted by the United States' war effort. The Cardinals won the Series in six games but in Game 3 it was all Browns a 6-2 win as pitcher Jack Kramer struck out ten Cardinals. This is the last World Series game ever won by the St. Louis Browns; it took until 1966 for the Baltimore Orioles to win another. Ticket appears quite strong with some stray paper at the perforation along with some overall surface wear though nothing of great significance.
