Attractive 1946 ticket to a game between the Jackie Robinson All-Stars and the Chuck Dressen All-Stars on October 1 1946 at the Polo Grounds in New York. By October of 1946 Robinson had not yet played a Major League baseball game but still led a barnstorming team that played games against Major Leaguers. Robinson managed to barnstorm while still preparing for the Little World Series Robinson leading the Monreal Royals against the Louisville Colonels. Perhaps this is why the game to which this ticket gained admittance was never actually played; newspaper reports on October 2 indicate that the game was canceled. This example is technically in FAIR condition with some light notches to the paper around the edges as well as some lightly-rounded corners. Still the presentation quality is strong.
