Tippy Martinez was a relief pitcher who broke in with the New York Yankees in 1974 and was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in a huge ten-player deal that brought Rick Dempsey and Scott McGregor to Baltimore. Martinez spent the next 11 seasons with Baltimore appearing in an average of 68 games a season later in his career becoming the team's primary closer. His 1980 road jersey presented here is a size 42 Wilson jersey a beautiful example signed by Martinez on the tail. Some restoration has occurred at the nameplate the jersey exhibits heavy signs of use and presents extremely well.
