Interesting hanging sign advertising the Blue Palace Tea Shoppe in Columbia South Carolina. The elaborate piece measures 15" x 12" and is backed with dark brown paper. A second layer of die-cut tan paper contains an advertising message for the Tea Shoppe and hotel the die-cut revealing a 7" x 9" window in which a full-color photo of Jackie Robinson is inserted. Stapled underneath the advertising message is a small 1953 Calendar. Two die-cut holes appear at the top a fancy string tied into the hole which enables hanging. The entire piece while attractive does exhibit wear notably three clipped corners and some minor tears to the brown backing paper along with some corner clips on the front page of the calendar. The reverse is clean though does show signs of slight age-related staining. An interesting piece of Jackie Robinson memorabilia one we have never before seen.
