Interesting 1920 "membership card" to Jack Barry's Rovers. Barry a member of Connie Mack's "$100 000 infield " played for 11 seasons mostly with Philadelphia retiring at the end of the 1919 season his knees sore from years of abuse. At that point he moved to Shrewsbury Massachusetts and helped coach the Holy Cross baseball team becoming the full-time coach in 1921. Presented is a "Membership card" for the Rovers its origin unknown with the exception of the name "Sir Hugh John MacDonald " who was the eighth Premier of Manitoba. This piece is likely related somehow to the Manitoba Junior Baseball League though we can find no historical account of Barry playing ball in Canada. Still an interesting piece in VG/EX condition.
