The owner of this Yankee Stadium pass L. T. Berliner of the Berliner Press Bureau got to see Lou Gehrig in his final full baseball season. Despite a clear diminishing of Gehrig's skills the Iron Horse still played 157 games batting .295 with 29 home runs and 114 runs batted in teaming with Bill DIckey Joe Gordon Tommy Henrich and Joe DiMaggio to power the Yankees offense to a World Series sweep over Chicago. The pass has clearly been used sporting several blemishes and surface abrasions and yet remains an outstanding document of one of the most bittersweet of all Yankees seasons - the final season Lou Gehrig would be an effective baseball player.
